Location – Shefford, Northampton or Huntingdon (although travel to other offices may be required)
Contract Type – Permanent - Full Time, Part Time (minimum 30 hours)
Salary Range – £30,165 – £34,225 DOE
Main Accountabilities
- Assist a team of lawyers in providing professional legal services to public sector and not-for-profit clients regarding property, ensuring awareness of and compliance with legal duties and protecting clients' best interests.
- Manage a caseload primarily involving property and housing matters.
- Identify and assess risks associated with relevant legal practice areas.
- Support lawyers by taking instructions, giving advice, conducting research, preparing applications, drafting documents and correspondence, and dealing with residential and commercial conveyancing, leases, licenses, and general property advice.
- Develop, train, and advise clients in legal skills and specific law areas as appropriate.
- Support the Pathfinder Legal Services Management team in building and maintaining effective client relationships to ensure seamless, client-focused service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with legal practice management requirements, including time recording, billing, and accreditation schemes like Lexcel.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships, networks, and joint working arrangements to enhance legal service provision.
- Contribute positively to the property, planning, and highways team, including training or mentoring colleagues when required.
- Perform other duties within the scope and purpose of the role as directed by senior management, consistent with the grade of the post.
