We act in individual matters (pre-and post-litigation), across cases such as work-related stress and harassment claims, claims for occupational cancers, work-related upper limb disorders, long-tail and short-tail claims, group litigation, strategic litigation projects. The team also specialises in claims for transmissible diseases such as COVID-19 and tuberculosis.

The Role

We are looking for Paralegal to join our market lead Disease practice in either Manchester, Liverpool or Newcastle We are interested in speaking to experienced Paralegals who have experience in managing a caseload of NIHL claims along with handling cases through to trial.

You'll be encouraged and supported to realise your full potential, actively participating and collaborating with senior fee earners and partners, with exposure to clients as much as possible.

The successful applicant will:

• Manage a caseload of NIHL claims.
• Draft Court documents within the Civil Procedure.
• Instruction Counsel and experts where appropriate.
• Assessing liability and quantum and preparing reports/advice.
• Make and respond to offers and negotiate settlement of both liability and quantum as and when necessary.
• Manage client MI expectations and SLA requirements.
• Negotiating fixed recoverable costs and disbursements.

• Previous paralegal experience within Disease setting
