An award-winning and well-regarded law firm in Basingstoke is seeking an organised and proactive Paralegal or Legal Secretary to join its expanding Commercial Property team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional with experience in commercial property to play a key supporting role in a dynamic and growing department.

The Role:

You will provide essential administrative and legal support to a busy team of Commercial Property lawyers, helping to ensure that client matters are progressed efficiently and effectively. This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on high-quality, fast-paced property matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing diaries, organising appointments, and liaising with clients and third parties
  2. Assisting with file opening and closing processes, including engagement letters and compliance documentation
  3. Producing and amending legal documents and correspondence
  4. Supporting billing processes including drafting invoices, completion statements, and financial statements
  5. Handling property-related administrative tasks such as ordering official copies, submitting SDLT returns, and Land Registry applications
  6. Working with the marketing team to assist with business development activities
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in a commercial property legal support role is essential
  2. Ideally 3+ years of experience within the legal sector as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary
  3. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Confident using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
