Forbes Solicitors LLP is seeking a Paralegal for our Insurance (Industrial Disease) team in Manchester. This full-time role involves working 36.25 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

This opportunity is ideal for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal eager to advance their career within an award-winning team, balancing high standards with a sustainable work-life balance.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of defendant insurance industrial disease claims.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting Advisors with chargeable legal work, including evidence collection, witness statements, court preparation, and legal bundle collation.
• Managing case progress, prioritizing tasks, monitoring deadlines, and client communication.
• Drafting legal documents with analysis and understanding of gathered information.
• Providing supervised legal advice to resolve queries and progress cases.
• Assessing client queries and managing case files.
• Attending external meetings, court hearings, and networking events.
• Maintaining case management systems and documents.
• Conducting legal research and producing articles and reports.
• Communicating regularly with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations, and escalating issues as needed.
