Job summary

Recruit So Simple Ltd in Birmingham is recruiting a Paralegal to support the Housing Management team in housing management and property litigation. You will work alongside solicitors on possession claims, disrepair, leases, and forfeitures, drafting court documents and preparing bundles for County Court proceedings.

The role involves handling deadlines, liaising with courts, attending hearings to support counsel, and occasional site visits. Prior litigation exposure is helpful; LPC/SQE desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing/property litigation is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of CPR required.
• Strong drafting and legal research skills expected.
• Excellent organisation and ability to handle heavy workload and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

We are working with a national law firm to recruit a Paralegal to join the Housing Management team in Birmingham. The firm has one of the largest housing management team's in the countryand is renowned for its work in this practice area.

The role

• Run your own matters alongside solicitors: possession claims, injunctions, disrepair, leaseholder and forfeiture claims
• Draft claim forms, pleadings and witness statements for the County Court
• Juggle multiple deadlines, prepare trial bundles, and liaise with the courts
• Attend court to support barristers and fee earners — and conduct your own advocacy on routine matters
• Occasional site visits

About you

• Previous Litigation experience - housing/property litigation experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Working knowledge of the CPR
• Exposure to County Court a bonus
• Educated to degree level,
• Working towards or completed LPC/SQEdesirable
• Strong drafting and legal research skillsSharp organisation — your own diary, heavy workload, tight deadlines
• Confidence, tenacity, and the ability to work with limited supervision
