We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Dispute Resolution team in Bath to provide an important link between the client and the firm, with responsibility for aspects of file management under supervision.

Duties will include:

  • Assist with fee earning tasks to manage a caseload or a low value/pre-funded caseload under supervision, carrying out simple, routine tasks
  • Draft legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates, addressing all relevant legal and factual issues, and accurately reflecting client instructions
  • Conduct effective legal research using appropriate methods and sources, presenting results clearly and accurately
  • Highlight and escalate issues to qualified lawyers
  • Provide excellent client service at all times, adhering to the firm's Client Experience (CX) principles
  • Learn and comply with firm policies and business processes, especially regarding confidentiality, data security, and file retention/destruction
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and affiliations (e.g., Legal Aid, Land Registry)
  • Verify that work complies with risk management policies, including file opening procedures and anti-money laundering regulations; audit files for compliance
  • Perform administrative duties associated with this role

Sustainable Growth

  • Support fee earners in preparing for business development and marketing activities
  • Attend RWKG business development events as appropriate
  • Promote the firm through social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Update the CRM system with client data, manage client information, and act as a super user
  • Build relationships with third parties under supervision (e.g., agents, referrers, experts), responding to inquiries and establishing rapport

Skills, Attributes, and Experience:

  • Legal qualifications (LLB or CILEx) are desirable
  • Experience in a legal support or administrative role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant IT platforms
  • Good understanding of client relationship management
  • Ability to undertake basic legal work under supervision and use initiative
