What You’ll Be Doing

As a Paralegal – Debt Recovery at EDF Energy, you will play a central role in managing litigation within our Customers & Corporate unit. Your responsibilities will include handling contentious matters, defending claims against EDF Energy, and initiating claims on our behalf.

You will lead recovery actions for unpaid energy charges and manage the litigation process from start to finish, including court appearances and enforcement of judgments. Managing a large caseload while adhering to court deadlines and effective case management will be essential.

The role also involves providing timely, preventive, and commercially relevant legal advice on various issues, including contractual, statutory, and regulatory matters. You will collaborate closely with business partners to understand their objectives, anticipate legal needs, and support business success.

Who You Are

You are a driven and confident paralegal with experience in debt recovery, litigation, and dispute resolution, whether in-house or at a law firm. You thrive in high-pressure environments and are eager to represent EDF Energy in County Court hearings.

You can manage a demanding caseload independently, with strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and deliver results. You are a strategic thinker, capable of providing commercially relevant legal advice and anticipating future legal needs. Collaboration and contributing to the team’s success are also important to you.
