Duration: Permanent

Location: UK

Reports to: Team Leader

Type of Role: Remote

Overview

Our Legal Delivery Centre (LDC) is a flexible and scalable paralegal resource for use across all of our UK, Ireland and Middle East offices and across the full spectrum of legal services. Meeting the ever‑increasing demands for disaggregated legal services, the LDC offers an exciting opportunity for development and the chance to undertake chargeable work that is varied, challenging and engaging. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team that is integral to the firm's strategy, whilst benefiting from being able to work remotely and flexibly.

Winner of the 2019 and 2020 National Paralegal Awards best law firm for paralegal development and finalist in 2021, Dentons offers fabulous opportunities for paralegals. Dentons is embracing the SQE route to qualification. Not only can your work experience count towards QWE but for successful internal applicants we are also offering a unique opportunity for development, including financial sponsorship, through our QualiFLY programme. QualiFLY is an enhanced 18‑month programme designed to provide the business with a pipeline of exceptional talent whilst ensuring that the experience and training gained by the paralegal is comparable to the more traditional training contract route.

The Role

Meeting the ever‑increasing demands for disaggregated legal services, the LDC offers an exciting opportunity for development and experience, giving you the chance to undertake work that is varied, challenging and engaging. An opportunity to liaise with all business areas, the LDC offers excellent exposure across the firm and to some of the firm's major clients. Whilst this is a virtual role with no expectation or requirement that you attend any of our office locations, for those who would like to experience the office environment and meet our hybrid teams, there is also the opportunity to attend our hub in Milton Keynes and our offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting Corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, venture capital, ECM and group reorganisations.
  • Conducting due diligence by reviewing organising and summarising contracts, corporate records, financial documents and other transaction materials.
  • Managing data rooms, file management, document indexes, proof reading and company searches.
  • Supporting transaction execution and completion processes, signing and execution packs, DocuSign coordination, completion checklists, closing bibles and post‑completion tasks.

  • Working collaboratively with Partners, Fee Earners, BD Managers, Legal Project Management and wider LDC colleagues.
