Description
DAC Beachcroft is looking to recruit a Paralegal to join our Clinical Risk team.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and passionate individual to join an award-winning, progressive, and highly specialised team.

Our Clinical Risk cluster is the largest nationally, handling a challenging but fulfilling caseload of defendant clinical negligence work, acting for a variety of clients, including NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, MDU, independent providers, and medical malpractice insurers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting the team with a variety of work involving pre-litigation and litigated defendant clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS Resolution and NHS Trusts. Tasks include instructing experts and counsel, liaising with witnesses, arranging conferences, drafting documents, conducting research, and managing disclosure issues. Opportunities to attend conferences and hearings with counsel are available.
  • Following client protocols and processes, utilizing our bespoke case management system.
  • Contributing to non-fee-earning activities such as knowledge sharing, training, client seminars, and business development.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Previous clinical negligence experience is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong academic qualifications, practicality, enthusiasm, and a team-oriented mindset are valued, even with limited experience.
  • Ability to understand and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Focus on a commercial approach to legal matters and maintaining high client service standards.
  • Confidence and professionalism in client interactions, fostering strong relationships.
