We are recruiting an experienced paralegal to join the BBC Legal team, providing legal, document management, and administrative support. This permanent role starts in August 2025 and is based in London.

The BBC Legal Division offers diverse legal work supporting the BBC’s operations, led by the General Counsel. The role involves supporting Litigation, FOI, and Employment legal teams, with opportunities to support other areas. The role offers practical experience and training, including potential Qualifying Work Experience, but no funding for solicitor qualification.

Main Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality legal and administrative support, focusing on Litigation, FOI, and Employment.
• Conducting legal research, organizing information, drafting documents, assisting with litigation preparations, and reviewing documents.
• Handling data, preparing FOI responses, managing legal records, and supporting practical arrangements.
• Supporting a paralegal working towards legal qualification (e.g., GDL).

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant experience as a paralegal, preferably with litigation exposure.
• Law degree or non-law degree with GDL.
• Excellent communication, organization, and document management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work under pressure.
• Understanding of media industry issues and IT proficiency.
