What's involved with this role:

Paralegal / Legal Admin Officer

Reference: K&C 5273353

£20.86 per hour PAYE

Initial Contract: 3 months

The role:

The role involves providing paralegal support to a team of lawyers, liaising with courts, suppliers, and other legal practices.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with the business support team to ensure actions are progressed in a timely manner.
  2. Instruct experts, counsel, and other suppliers, raising purchase orders and receipting goods for timely payments.
  3. Perform office administration, including billing and letter writing.
  4. Organize diaries, schedule meetings, and respond to telephone queries.
  5. Draft initial documents and proofread legal documents.
  6. Write reports, conduct legal research, and analyze data.
  7. Organize case files, attend court hearings, transcribe legal opinions, and compile court bundles.
  8. Prepare electronic court bundles and upload them to the digital courtroom.
  9. Clerk and deliver bundles and documents to courts, including the High Court.
Key criteria:
  • L2 Diploma in Legal Studies, CILEx qualification, Law degree, or equivalent legal education.
  • Proven experience in legal administration and paralegal support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong IT skills.
