Job summary

Farleys' Actions Against Detaining Authorities (AADA) team is seeking a motivated Paralegal to support lawyers handling abuse claims, inquests and public authority work. You will assist with a varied, sensitive caseload and play a key role in delivering excellent client care.

Working alongside solicitors, you will draft documents, organise disclosures, liaise with clients and experts, and help prepare court bundles while maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Experience as paralegal in litigation/family/public law or inquests
• Law degree or equivalent qualification (LPC/SQE)
• Strong communication and organisational skills with empathy for vulnerable clients

Responsibilities

• Assist fee earners with abuse and civil claims against public authorities
• Draft correspondence, witness statements and legal documents
• Review and organise disclosure and evidence
• Liaise with clients, experts, counsel and third parties
• Prepare court bundles and documentation
• Manage case files and maintain accurate records
• Conduct legal research and fact-finding
• Provide empathetic support to clients throughout their claim
