Farleys is seeking a Paralegal to support the Actions Against Detaining Authorities (AADA) team in handling abuse, public authority, and inquest-related matters. You will assist fee earners, draft documents, manage disclosures, and liaise with clients and experts while maintaining meticulous records.

The ideal candidate has relevant paralegal experience in litigation or public law, a law qualification (Law degree, LPC, or SQE), and strong communication skills with empathy for vulnerable clients.

Qualifications

• Previous Paralegal experience within litigation, family, personal injury, inquests, public law or a similar legal environment.
• A Law degree, LPC, SQE or equivalent legal qualification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
• The confidence to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Assisting fee earners with abuse and civil claims against public authorities.
• Drafting correspondence, witness statements and legal documents.
• Reviewing and organising disclosure and evidence.
• Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and third parties.
• Preparing court bundles and documentation.
• Managing case files and maintaining accurate records.
• Conducting legal research and fact-finding exercises.
• Providing empathetic support to vulnerable clients throughout their claim.
