Qualifications

  • Be a credible member of the team, providing support, clarity and insights from your area of specialism.
  • Undertake all tasks associated with the role to a consistently high standard.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with little day to day direction.
  • Be self-sufficient and pro-active.
  • Identify issues and resolve them by looking outside the parameters of the role or task, seeking input from others in the team.
  • Challenge where appropriate rather than “accept” the norm.
  • Communicate appropriately within the team.
  • Understand and communicate the commercial impact of the decisions you make when providing advice to our clients.
  • Handle large volumes of work with multiple demands.
  • Quickly understand our client requirements and respond accordingly in terms of support, advice and solutions.

  • Delegate tasks within the framework of the role.
  • Check it against the SRA’s questions in two minutes. If there is no COLP or solicitor where you work, the SRA lets a solicitor outside confirm it: an FQPS solicitor can, from £149.

Responsibilities

  • Support our lawyers to provide high quality, targeted and accessible legal advice across respective practice areas.
  • Produce first draft documents where required and provide advice to clients in the absence of the relevant lawyer.
  • Seek opportunities to build the Alpaca brands and identify opportunities to enhance the businesses of Alpaca and Alt Legal clients.

Job description

You will support our lawyers to provide high quality, targeted and accessible legal advice across their specific practice area(s) and will work as part of a team to deliver effective solutions to legal and commercial issues. You will be responsible for producing first draft documents where required as well as providing advice to clients in the absence of the relevant lawyer. You will seek opportunities to build the Alpaca brands as well as identify opportunities to enhance the businesses of Alpaca and Alt Legal clients.

  • handle large volumes of work with multiple demands

The behaviours we want to see are:

  • you build positive relationships internally and externally
  • you work with the team and take responsibility for your delivery
  • you are willing to use your skills to work with colleagues on projects outside of your traditional practice area
