Job summary

VennGroup in Bristol is looking for a Residential Property Paralegal with at least 2 years of experience in residential conveyancing. You will work in a supportive team focused on development, success and work-life balance.

The ideal candidate will understand the conveyancing process from start to finish and have experience with client instructions, JIS/SDLT, and coordinating with clients, estate agents and lenders in a fast-paced firm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in residential property
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of the Conveyancing process from start to finish
• Experience liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers and lenders

Responsibilities

• Handle new client instructions and onboarding
• Issue Contract Packs and obtain searches
• Liaise with clients, agents, mortgage brokers, lenders and solicitors by phone and email
• Manage post-exchange work and completion statements
• Assist with registrations and SDLT returns and post-completion tasks
• Maintain accurate electronic files and monitor key milestones

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced property Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join the Bristol team ideally with at least 2-years' experience working in a law firm in residential property. Exceptional personal skills are required, alongside strong organisational and time-management skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will know the Conveyancing process from start to finish and will have experience in:

• dealing with new client instructions.
• dealing with estimates, client care, source of funds and onboarding
• issuing Contract Packs
• obtaining searches
• liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, other solicitors and third parties by phone and email.
• dealing with post exchange work
• preparing completion statements
• dealing with completions and obtaining mortgage funds and sending funds
• dealing with post completion work
• dealing with registrations & SDLT returns
• working in a fast-paced environment
• maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic files.
• monitoring key dates, deadlines and transaction milestones.
• providing regular updates to clients and respond promptly to enquiries.
• maintaining accurate records on the firm's case management system.
• ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with firm procedures, professional standards and relevant regulations
