The role

We are looking for a Paralegal to provide a quality and comprehensive conveyancing service with a customer service focus. As part of an established team, you will have prior experience and knowledge of the entire Conveyancing process, including post-completion work, and be familiar with the roles of support teams such as New Business and Accounts in the process.

Main responsibilities

  1. Undertake all key functions within a conveyancing sale transaction confidently and with minimal supervision, including administration and progression of purchase transactions.
  2. Proactively progress transactions with all key stakeholders.
  3. Keep task reports up to date daily.
  4. Maintain an orderly and current case management system.
  5. Handle client queries professionally.
  6. Develop and maintain professional relationships with work providers, clients, estate agents, and others, updating them appropriately.
  7. Manage office administration tasks such as post, filing, and file closures.
  8. Draft non-standard, non-technical correspondence competently.

Skills and qualifications

  • Prior conveyancing paralegal experience.
  • Knowledge of the conveyancing lifecycle, including post-completion.
  • Strong written, numeracy, and oral communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • IT literacy, including Word, Excel, and internet proficiency.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and work efficiently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to change, new practices, and pressure, with the judgment to seek assistance when needed.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
