Job Description:

Utopian Professional Recruitment is working in partnership with our Edinburgh-based client who is expanding and looking to recruit Legal Secretaries & Paralegals with experience in Private Client, Executry, and Real Estate.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Typing correspondence and documents, including digital dictation and manuscript amendments
  • Running legal comparisons
  • Drafting and sending letters, faxes, and emails
  • Scanning, photocopying, and engrossing documents
  • Partner diary management and meeting bookings
  • Dealing with clients in person and on the telephone
  • Delivery and collection of documents
  • Assisting with the setup and maintenance of systems and data resources for legal procedures, including:
  • Preparation of forms for new clients/matters
  • Client verification procedures
  • Other responsibilities as new processes and systems are implemented by the firm
Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar legal role
  • Experience in producing relevant legal documents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional conduct with clients, partners, and staff
  • Audio and copy typing skills
  • Comfort with email communication
  • Familiarity with office equipment like photocopiers and scanners
  • Ability to work under supervision and take direction from various legal staff levels
  • Pleasant telephone manner and client query handling skills
