Our Employment Law Team is a core team in the Firm, working across our all of key sectors, with a focus on our renowned Education sector; there is a real opportunity to gain a real breadth of experience in this role.

Key Responsibilities

General duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Dealing with all clients referred to you in person and on the telephone in a professional and efficient manner
  • Attending to the clients and answering any queries, with supervision from members of the team.
  • Drafting documents bundles and producing research
  • Involvement in newsletter and article development and activities
  • Meeting time recording requirements.
  • Communicating promptly and effectively both internally to colleagues and externally to clients
  • Conducting work for both colleagues and clients to the highest possible standard, having regard to the Firm's standards, procedures and Core Values
  • Working in a collegiate and collaborative way within an immediate Team and wider Firm environment
  • Maintaining your continuing professional development requirements and taking an active interest in furthering your knowledge within the field of law
  • Ongoing learning is something that will continue in your career at Stone King; we aim to be leaders in our chosen fields, often providing workshops and seminars not only for our people but also for external clients on key areas of law

Requirements

Essential

  • A degree in LLB or completion of the law conversion course (or in the process of completing).
  • An interest in Employment law.
  • The ability to work in harmony with others, and to contribute to a pleasant working environment for all concerned, will be important
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • An aptitude for learning and be able to show initiative
  • IT literate including Office 2010

Desirable

  • Previous Paralegal or experience within a similar role is desirable.
  • Previous administrative experience
