Job summary

Fame Recruitment is seeking a Paralegal with a keen interest in post-completion work to join a well-regarded North West London firm of solicitors. The role sits in the Residential Conveyancing team and focuses on post-completion matters, ensuring transactions reach a successful conclusion after completion.

You'll handle SDLT forms, Land Registry applications, requisitions, and related post-completion formalities, while supporting pre-completion activities with fee-earners, lenders and clients to

Qualifications

• A law degree is essential.
• Previous residential or commercial conveyancing experience is essential.
• Exposure to post-completion and Land Registry work is essential.
• Good understanding of the conveyancing process, particularly after completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing post-completion work, ensuring matters progress on time.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal with a strong interest in post-completion work to join a well-regarded firm of solicitors based in North West London.

Working within the Residential Conveyancing team, this is a post-completion focused position, with the successful candidate spending a significant proportion of their time dealing with post-completion matters and ensuring transactions are brought to a successful conclusion following completion.

Duties include:

• Managing post-completion work, ensuring matters are progressed accurately and within required timescales.
• Completing and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) forms and dealing with related post-completion requirements.
• Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications and registrations, including monitoring applications through to completion.
• Dealing with requisitions and liaising with the Land Registry to resolve queries and ensure registrations are completed.
• Processing applications and registrations at Companies House, where required.
• Assisting with other post-completion formalities, ensuring all outstanding matters are dealt with.
• Supporting pre-completion work, including liaising with fee-earners, mortgage lenders and clients to obtain documentation and updates.
• Monitoring key dates, deadlines and outstanding post-completion requirements to ensure matters progress efficiently.
