Job description

We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Financial Services Disputes and Investigations (FSDI) team in Glasgow. Our FSDI team is one of the largest providers of legal services to the financial sector in the UK, with over 300 dedicated financial services lawyers across our UK offices. We work with many of the UK's largest banks, building societies, international banks, and payment providers.

Your Role

As a Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Handling junior fee-earning case work, managing your own cases under supervision.
  2. Investigating claims and preparing draft advice.
  3. Assisting solicitors with trial bundle preparation.
  4. Instructing experts and reviewing expert reports.
  5. Reviewing discovery documents from other parties.
  6. Recording, reporting, and analyzing Management Information.
  7. Assisting with billing processes.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and flexibility.
  • Proficiency in Word and Outlook; experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and document management systems is advantageous.
  • Desirable but not essential: advanced Excel skills (including formulas like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts) and data analysis capabilities.
  • A law degree or equivalent qualification.
