We are looking for a confident, reliable individual with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn to join our small but very busy Corporate Services Team. The successful candidate will ideally have a background in the corporate or commercial world and be willing to learn new aspects of a large and dynamic business.
Responsibilities
- Document Preparation: Review of general corporate documentation including insurance policies, construction Contracts and some property-related agreements (e.g., leases, deeds, purchase contracts).
- Compliance Management: Providing Know Your Client information to banks, solicitors and other interested parties. Ensuring documentation held on file is both accurate and up to date.
- Corporate Governance: Preparation of Board Minutes and Companies House filings.
- Property Transactions: Dealing with third parties including Landlords, estate agents, management companies. Dealing with the payments of rents, rates and utility bills.
- Administrative Support: Organize files, manage communication with external legal counsel, insurance agents, and property management teams. Ability to produce reports, maintain spreadsheets and draft external communication.
- Claims and Disputes: Assist in the resolution of insurance claims and property disputes by gathering evidence, analysing documents, and liaising with stakeholders.
- Legal Research: Conduct research on relevant legal precedents, some insurance regulations, property law although this is a small element of the role.
Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree or paralegal qualification preferred but not essential.
- Experience: A proven record of legal or corporate/company law / claims, or property management / transactions is highly desirable.
- Skills: Communication, attention to detail, ability to work with Microsoft applications i.e. teams, excel, word: work both in a team and be self-motivated.
