About The Role

Following the success of the current paralegal who secured a training contract with the firm, we are looking to recruit a Paralegal in their succession. Based in our Employment Team at our vibrant Cardiff Office, we seek a proactive and systems-savvy individual.

The Paralegal role involves undertaking routine legal tasks, including:

  1. Legal research using appropriate methods and sources, presenting results accurately and promptly.
  2. Drafting legal documents with precedents and templates.
  3. Ensuring all work complies with risk management policies, procedures, and GDPR.
  4. Providing legal support to the team and acting as a legal resource.
  5. Managing diaries for the team to meet all deadlines.
  6. Handling legal processes under supervision, such as routine file management.
  7. Participating in the Paralegal and Trainee group and attending networking events or careers fairs.
  8. Promoting the firm and department via social media channels like LinkedIn, X, and Facebook.

About You

As a Paralegal, you should have:

  1. A legal qualification, preferably post LPC or working towards it (or equivalent).
  2. Ability to work effectively in a team and support peers.
  3. A client service focus.
  4. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and capacity to manage a growing workload.
  5. IT literacy and accurate typing skills.
  6. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  7. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
