Sedgwick Legal Services (SLS) advises and handles disputes for insurers, Lloyds syndicates, large corporates, utilities, and local authorities. This role focuses on property damage losses, including fires, floods, impacts, and water escape. Our legal team operates mainly from our Central Bristol Office, with colleagues in Cardiff and London, adopting a hybrid working model.
Main duties include updating and maintaining the case management system, managing a caseload of small claims, conducting investigations, gathering evidence, obtaining witness statements, and liaising with relevant parties to collect documentation for litigation.
You will develop systems and procedures to support SLS within Sedgwick’s digital platforms, meeting internal targets for time recording and billing.

Qualifications: Degree or relevant legal experience preferred.
Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with litigation processes is desirable.
Contract and Tort: Good understanding of general contract and tort principles.
Insurance Law: Interest in and willingness to learn insurance property damage law.
Technical Skills: Interest in construction and property claims investigations.
Teamwork: Collaborative mindset, willing to share knowledge and support colleagues.
Commercial Approach: Ability to adopt a practical, business-oriented view on claims settlement.
Skills to be developed: Comprehensive training in Sedgwick-specific processes and industry standards.
