Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Attending Courts and Tribunals, including attending upon Counsel, in connection with any proceedings and to prepare reports thereon as required.
  2. Commissioning and instructing expert witnesses and external lawyers/counsel.
  3. Carrying out legal research, preparing applications, and drafting documents and correspondence.
  4. Conducting advocacy in courts and tribunals on behalf of the council.
  5. Taking instructions and giving advice.
