Paralegal

We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Financial Services Disputes and Investigations (FSDI) team in Birmingham. Our FSDI team is one of the largest providers of legal services to the financial sector in the UK, with over 300 dedicated financial services lawyers across our UK offices. Our relationships include many of the UK's largest clearing banks, building societies, international banks, and payment providers.

Your Role

As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for:

  • Junior fee earning case work, including managing your own cases under supervision.
  • Investigating and analyzing claims, preparing draft advice.
  • Assisting solicitors with preparing trial bundles.
  • Instructing experts and reviewing expert reports.
  • Drafting correspondence and reviewing discovery documents.
  • Managing key dates and assisting with recording, reporting, and analyzing Management Information.
  • Assisting with billing processes.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Accuracy, good organizational skills, and flexibility.
  • Proficiency in Word and Outlook; experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Interwoven is beneficial.
  • Desirable but not essential: advanced Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, charts) and data export capabilities.
  • Law degree or equivalent qualification.
