Job description

Para Football Rehabilitation Physiotherapist (Casual Contract), Wembley

The Football Association's Para division is seeking a Para Football Rehabilitation Physiotherapist to deliver world-class physiotherapy services to England Para Football teams, including Blind, Deaf, Cerebral Palsy, Partially Sighted, and Powerchair teams. The role involves developing resilient, high-performing Para Footballers through rehabilitation and contributing to medal success.

This casual contract extends until 31st July 2026, with a maximum of 20 days of work per year.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Para Football medical team for planning Rehabilitation Days.
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage injured players during Rehabilitation Days at St George's Park.
  • Develop and update return-to-play tests in coordination with the team.
  • Build strong relationships with injured players and support staff to facilitate effective rehabilitation.
  • Document injury updates accurately using Kitman Labs software and participate in audits.
  • Maintain close working relationships with key medical and support staff.
  • Contribute to the Para Football Player Health Strategy.
  • Perform additional tasks as required and ensure compliance with policies, including DBS checks.
Requirements

Essential:

  • HCPC registration and CSP membership
  • BSc in Physiotherapy and MSc in related fields (or in progress)
  • Post-graduate development and experience in sport physiotherapy
  • Current ITTMiF qualification or recognized equivalent
  • High-level clinical experience in performance sport
  • Knowledge of Para sport demands and elite musculoskeletal skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with medical documentation software
  • Ability to work independently and irregular hours
