Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in the United Kingdom seeks a Production Supervisor for the Paper Department to oversee safety, reliability, cost, quality, productivity, and employee engagement in a goal-driven environment. The role covers one paper machine, a recycle plant, and a shipping department, reporting to the Paper Machine Superintendent.

The successful candidate will ensure safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement, coordinating with Fiber and Power/Utilities to support 24/7

Qualifications

• 3+ years paper mill experience.
• Engineering or Paper Science degree preferred.
• Process engineering experience a plus.
• Computer working knowledge such as Microsoft Office Suite, PI ProcessBook, JD Edwards, etc.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and Mill safety rules.
• Maintain and model safety programs in the Mill and review safety records.
• Drive cost, quality, productivity and employee engagement in a goal-oriented environment.
• Communicate with Fiber and Power/Utilities, Department Shift Supervisors for 24/7 operations.
