Job summary

McGeoch Technology Limited in Birmingham seeks a Panel Wirer to join our production, assembly and test facility, wiring components from light fittings to control panels and reading mechanical drawings.

You will perform crimping, routing and cable termination, with responsibilities spanning mechanical and electrical assembly, using hand tools and soldering. The role is permanent and based in our Birmingham facility.

Qualifications

• Experience with point-to-point wiring.
• Cable end termination experience (crimping/soldering).
• Ability to understand and manufacture to GA and schematic drawings.
• Control panel wiring experience.
• Cable routing experience.
• Experience of electrical assembling and wiring of control panels.

Responsibilities

• Wiring and assembly of components for light fittings up to control cabinets and panels.
• Crimping, routing and cable terminating work on control panels.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematic wiring accordingly.
• Mechanical assembly.
• Electrical assembly.
• Use of hand tools.
• Soldering.
