Overview

Panel Wirer/Electrician – £25.00ph – Mon-Fri Days – Wrexham

Gap Technical is proud to represent a leading manufacturer in their search for a Panel Wirer/Electrician to join their team at a state-of-the-art facility in Wrexham.

Job Purpose

To install and wire circuit breakers for industrial systems ensuring full compliance with electrical design specifications, industry codes, and safety standards. The technician will handle breaker mounting, cable termination, and pre-commissioning checks for 3-phase generator outputs and associated panels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate 3-phase industrial circuit breakers
  • Connect breaker LINE and LOAD terminals using appropriate industrial-grade cabling
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures strictly to ensure non-live working conditions
  • Interpret and implement electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams
  • Perform cable routing, cutting, stripping, and lugging per installation standards
  • Ensure proper grounding and bonding of breaker panels and generator frames
  • Label all terminations, cables, and breaker positions according to project standards
  • Complete installation checklists and support QA/QC documentation
Person Specification / Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience with industrial electrical installations (non-live)
  • Demonstrated ability to install and terminate high-capacity circuit breakers (up to 1000A)
  • Competent in working with three-phase systems, large gauge wiring, and grounding
