Job summary

Gi Group in Stafford is seeking a Panel Wirer for a contract/ongoing role. You will modify and assemble high‑voltage panels, possibly at substation sites, and must hold an ECITB/CCNSG Safety Passport. Day shifts, Monday to Friday, with £20 per hour pay.

Applicants should have experience in panel build, be capable of reading wiring diagrams, and be willing to travel from Stafford to complete现场 work as required. A valid driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in panel/build industry and wiring modifications.
• ECITB/CCNSG Safety Passport is required.
• Willingness to travel to site locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Layout electrical components and design wiring diagrams.
• Install mechanical assemblies and fabricate into panels per drawings.
• Install relays and cable assemblies, terminate correctly.
• Use workshop power tools and ensure quality control.
• Follow production paperwork and verify testing readiness.
• Ensure earthing/verification of panels before testing.
• Inspect cubicles on arrival for damage and HSE issues.

Temporary Contract / Ongoing Work

Pay: £20 per hour

Day Shifts: Monday - Friday

Our client in Stafford is looking for a Panel Wirer to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be undertaking Wiring Modifications to Project Panels for a global company manufacturing high-voltage electricity grids, clean energy technology & large scale power transformation.

This may involve the requirement to work on an electrical Substation site therefore an ECITB /CCNSG Safety Passport qualification must be held.

Key Responsibilities

• Layout Electrical components to Design wiring diagrams
• Install Mechanical assemblies & additional fabrication into the Panels as indicated by Design Drawings
• Installation of Relays into Electrical Panels and cable assemblies, and terminate correctly
• Using Workshop Power Tools, Drills, Saws, Cutting tools etc
• Liaising with management in order to maintain high standards of quality and procedures
• Good Knowledge of Panel wiring to Schematic Drawings
• Follow and complete all production paperwork before the dispatch of Panel`s
• Earthing and Verification of Panels before commencement of Testing
• Inspection of Cubicles on arrival for Damage/ HSE Issues, Final inspection of Cubicles
• Prior to Dispatch
• Safety awareness to work to Documentations such as method statements and Risk Assessments
• Have a working knowledge of Loto process and EHS requirements for Tooling, TOGA always ensuring hand held/ power tools are in date for PAT Testing and calibration

About You

• Previous work experience in Panel Build Industry
• Hold ECITB/CCNSG Safety Passport
• Apprentice Trained or time served experience as a Panel Wirer
• To have basic skills and knowledge of Computers. Word, Excel
• Willing to work away from Stafford as agreed to complete work on Site.
• Have Good working Knowledge of Schematic Drawings, Wiring Schedules.
• Have current driving Licence
