Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Panel Wirer to assemble and wire electrical control panels in a Bradford-based site. Responsibilities include wiring to diagrams, terminating cabling, and testing panels for function and safety.

You will work with the Electrical Supervisor and Design Engineer, follow health and safety procedures, and maintain accurate work records. The role is full-time, dayshift, with an hourly rate up to £14.50 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• A relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in electrical installation, panel building or a related discipline.
• Proven experience wiring electrical control panels, ideally in an industrial or machinery environment.
• Good knowledge of electrical wiring standards, circuit diagrams and safety requirements.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to wiring and testing.
• Good communication skills, able to raise queries or issues clearly with supervisors and engineers.
• Full-time role.

We are recruiting for a Panel Wirer to work for our client who are in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

THE DUTIES OF A PANEL WIRER

• Wire electrical control panels according to circuit diagrams and specifications.
• Fit and terminate cabling, components and control gear within panels.
• Test completed panels for correct function and safety before installation.
• Work closely with the Electrical Supervisor and Design Engineer to resolve any wiring or specification queries.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and any panel modifications.
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times when working with electrical systems.
• Support fault-finding and rework on panels as needed.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

• A relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in electrical installation, panel building or a related discipline; the Company is flexible on level.
• Proven experience wiring electrical control panels, ideally in an industrial or machinery environment.
• Good knowledge of electrical wiring standards, circuit diagrams and safety requirements.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to wiring and testing.
• Good communication skills, able to raise queries or issues clearly with supervisors and engineers.
• Full-time role.

THE HOURS

Working on days

Monday to Thursday : 8am - 4:30pm / Friday 8am-3.30pm = 39 hours per week.

THE PAY

You will earn an hourly rate of up to £14.50 an hour depending on experience.
