The Vella Group is seeking an experienced Panel Technician in Peterborough to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition using precision and expert craftsmanship.

You will work in a modern, well-equipped workshop with access to the latest repair techniques and manufacturer-approved methods, delivering high-quality repairs with attention to detail and safety.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience working as a Panel Technician in a busy accident repair or bodyshop.
• IMI/ATA or equivalent qualification is desirable.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety and right-first-time repairs.
• Efficient in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Positive, team-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.

Aufgaben

• Carry out vehicle body repairs according to manufacturer repair methods and company procedures.
• Repair and replace damaged panels using approved techniques and tools.
• Complete repairs safely, efficiently and to agreed quality and productivity standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Panel Technician, you'll play a key role in restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition, delivering high-quality repairs that meet manufacturer standards and exceed customer expectations. Working within a modern, well-equipped repair centre, you'll use your technical expertise and craftsmanship to complete structural and cosmetic repairs safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.

• Carrying out vehicle body repairs in accordance with manufacturer repair methods, BS10125 standards and company procedures.
• Repairing and replacing damaged panels using approved techniques, tools and equipment.
• Completing repairs safely, efficiently and to agreed quality and productivity standards.
• Performing accurate welding and structural repairs whilst adhering to manufacturer and industry requirements.
• Assessing damage and identifying any additional repair requirements, communicating these promptly to the relevant teams.
• Working closely with Vehicle Damage Assessors, Production Managers and colleagues across the repair process to ensure repairs are completed right first time.
• Protecting customer vehicles throughout the repair process and maintaining the highest standards of care and attention to detail.
• Ensuring all parts and components are stored, managed and handled correctly to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment in line with Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Taking pride in delivering exceptional workmanship that contributes to outstanding customer satisfaction.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Panel Technician within a busy accident repair or Bodyshop environment.
• An IMI, ATA or equivalent industry-recognised qualification (desirable).
• A strong commitment to quality, safety and achieving right-first-time repairs.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive, team-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to support colleagues to achieve shared goals.
• A customer-focused mindset and a genuine commitment to delivering an outstanding repair experience.
• A full UK driving licence (desirable).
