Panel Technician

Location: Glasgow

Salary: up to £46,000, with a bonus, up to £52,000 OTE

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 4.00pm, Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Technician to join our client's workshop in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for a Panel Technician to join a great team at a company that offers training and promotional opportunities.

Panel Technician Role
  • Replacing and repairing panels, including straightening and filling
  • Performing body alignment
  • Welding and bonding
  • Filler work, dent removal, and pin pulling
  • Ensuring vehicles are thoroughly examined and reporting findings (oral and/or written), with emphasis on customer safety and satisfaction
  • Working in a manner that minimises lost, non-revenue, and/or diversionary time, accurately recording all such time
  • Keeping work areas clean, tidy, well organised, and safe—in full compliance with Health and Safety standards
Panel Technician Requirements
  • Previous experience in panel repair/replacement in a bodyshop setting, with completion of a panel technician apprenticeship (or equivalent)
  • Ability to carry out major repairs
  • Demonstrate a positive, “right-first time” attitude
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work to a very high standard, with precision and attention to detail
