Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking an experienced Panel Beater with Strip and Fit experience to join a professional accident repair centre in Gravesend, UK. You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, in a full-time, permanent role, contributing to high-quality repairs and efficient turnaround.

You will strip damaged vehicles, remove and refit panels and trims, perform light MET tasks, and reassemble after repairs, while ensuring correct fit and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Panel Beater or Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician with MET experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle stripping and refitting.
• Experience in accident repair or bodyshop environment.
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Strip damaged vehicles and prepare for repair.
• Remove and refit body panels, trims, bumpers and components.
• Carry out light MET-related work.
• Reassemble vehicles after body and paint repairs.
• Ensure components are correctly fitted and functioning.
• Collaborate with other Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and carry out quality checks.
• Keep workshop clean, safe and organized.

The Role

As a Panel Beater with Strip & Fit experience, you will be responsible for removing and refitting vehicle components as part of the accident repair process, ensuring vehicles are prepared correctly for repair and returned to the required standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Stripping damaged vehicles ready for repair.
• Removing and refitting body panels, trims, bumpers and other components.
• Carrying out light MET-related work where required.
• Reassembling vehicles following body and paint repairs.
• Ensuring all components are correctly fitted and functioning.
• Working closely with other Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians.
• Following repair methods and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Carrying out quality checks before vehicles leave the workshop.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

About You

• Previous experience as a Panel Beater or a Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician, MET Technician with Panel Beating experience from a similar bodyshop role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle stripping and refitting.
• Experience working within an accident repair or bodyshop environment.
• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• A team player with a positive and professional attitude.
