Job description

Panel Beater / MET Technician Vacancy

I am looking for an experienced Panel Beater who can do their own MET to join a great Bodyshop / Accident Repair Centre in the Birmingham area.

This role comes with a basic salary of up to £21 per hour + bonus on a 40 hour week.

Pension, 21 days holiday plus bank holiday.

Key Panel Beater Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Operation of body alignment jigs
2. Panel straightening and filling
3. Replacement of panels
4. Welding and bonding of vehicle structure
5. Removing and replacing complete body shell
6. Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard
7. Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
8. To report unseen damage, absent from estimate as soon as it's identified
9. 4 wheel alignment, Suspension work, GEO, diagnostics and all mechanical work

Minimum requirements as a Panel Beater:

1. Time served and/or qualified to city & guilds or NVQ level
2. ATA is advantageous but not essential
