Job summary

Silcom Recruitment Limited in Exeter is seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join a busy bodyshop on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager, you will prepare vehicles through masking, sanding and other essential preparation, ensuring tools are kept safe and well maintained.

We require at least 1 year of motor trade experience in a similar role, and you should be skilled in both modern and traditional repair techniques, with good communication and the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year motor trade experience in a similar position.
• Experience in panel beating or repair work.
• Experience using modern and traditional repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles fully including masking, sanding and other necessary preparation work.
• Keep all tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition, paying attention to fire hazards.
• Must have previous experience in a similar panel beating or repair role.
• Work to schedules and deadlines; communicate effectively with the team.

The Role:

We are recruiting on the behalf of an exciting business based in Exeter, seeking to add an experienced Panel Beater to their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Role & Responsibilities:

• Minimum 1 year motor trade experience in similar position.
• Prepare vehicles fully include masking, sanding and other necessary preparation work.
• Keep all company tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition paying particular attention to the reduction of any fire hazards.
• Must have previous experience in a similar panel beating or repair role.
• Experienced in using modern and traditional repair techniques.
• Working to schedules and understanding of deadlines.
• Good communication skills.

The Package:

£11.50 per hour with realistic OTE of £30,000 plus per annum. 40 hour working week with occasional Saturday work.
