Job summary

Albany Beck is seeking an experienced PAM Analyst to support the development and operationalisation of a major PAM programme within a regulated Financial Services environment. The role blends PAM expertise with business analysis, programme coordination and stakeholder engagement.

You will act as the link between PAM engineers, technology teams, platform owners, end users and senior stakeholders, coordinating onboarding, driving adoption and embedding the PAM capability across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Seven years' experience in Cybersecurity focusing on PAM/IAM or access governance.
  • Experience with at least one enterprise PAM platform: CyberArk, Delinea or BeyondTrust.
  • Proven ability to lead PAM/IAM onboarding programmes in large organisations.
  • Strong business analysis: requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and coordinating multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to translate business needs into structured technical delivery activities.
  • Knowledge of privileged access risks, controls and security principles.
  • Experience producing governance reports and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

Job description

Albany Beck is seeking an experienced PAM Analyst to support the continued development and operationalisation of a major PAM programme within a regulated Financial Services environment. This is not a pure engineering position. The role requires someone who combines strong knowledge of Privileged Access Management with business analysis, programme coordination and stakeholder engagement experience. The successful candidate will act as the link between PAM engineers, technology teams, platform owners, end users and senior stakeholders. They will help coordinate onboarding activity, improve existing processes, drive user adoption and ensure the PAM capability is embedded effectively across the organisation. Applicants must have experience working with at least one major enterprise PAM platform, such as CyberArk, Delinea or BeyondTrust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate PAM onboarding across multiple technology teams, business areas and user groups.
  • Manage delivery plans, actions, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Work with PAM engineers and platform teams to ensure onboarding activities progress to plan.
  • Identify delivery blockers and coordinate their resolution across relevant teams.
  • Support the development of a structured PAM roadmap covering immediate, short-term and longer-term priorities.
  • Produce clear updates on programme progress, onboarding status, adoption levels and outstanding issues.
  • Support governance forums through the preparation of reporting packs, metrics and decision papers.
  • Engage with platform owners, infrastructure teams and technology leads to understand privileged access requirements.
  • Gather, analyse and document business, operational and technical requirements.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into clear onboarding activities for PAM engineering teams.
  • Assess existing PAM processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies and control weaknesses.
  • Design and document improved onboarding processes, operating procedures and support models.
  • Facilitate workshops to define requirements, resolve issues and agree delivery approaches.
  • Maintain clear traceability between requirements, technical delivery and business outcomes.
  • Explain PAM capabilities, requirements and security controls to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with technology leads, end-user teams, security functions and senior stakeholders.
  • Support teams through the PAM onboarding journey, ensuring responsibilities and expectations are understood.
  • Develop communications, onboarding packs, process guides and user documentation.
  • Identify barriers to PAM adoption and develop targeted plans to address them.
  • Drive greater use of the PAM platform across existing and newly onboarded teams.
  • Provide structured guidance and support to improve user readiness and engagement.
  • Review existing PAM methodologies and recommend practical improvements.
  • Identify root causes behind onboarding delays, low adoption or continued use of legacy access methods.
  • Develop proposals and frameworks to improve programme delivery and operational sustainability.
  • Assess the advantages, risks and implications of current and proposed approaches.
  • Support senior stakeholders with evidence-based recommendations and options.
  • Contribute to the development of future-state PAM processes and operating models.
  • Balance immediate delivery priorities with the longer-term maturity of the PAM capability.
  • Support alignment with internal security policies, regulatory expectations and recognised cybersecurity standards.
  • Ensure PAM controls and onboarding activities are appropriately documented and evidenced.
  • Contribute to the definition and monitoring of PAM KPIs, KRIs and control measures.
  • Support access reviews, privileged account recertification and exception management activities.
  • Assist with orphan account identification and remediation.
  • Support internal and external audit preparation by maintaining clear processes, evidence and documentation.
  • Ensure risks and control gaps are identified, tracked and escalated appropriately.
Key Skills & Experience
  • At least seven years' experience within Cybersecurity, with a focus on PAM, IAM or access governance.
  • Strong experience with at least one enterprise PAM platform: CyberArk, Delinea, BeyondTrust
  • Proven experience supporting or leading PAM or IAM onboarding programmes within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and working across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to translate business and operational requirements into structured technical delivery activities.
  • Strong understanding of privileged access risks, controls and security principles.
  • Experience producing high-quality governance reporting, programme documentation and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both engineering teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience working within regulated environments, ideally Financial Services.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes, including incident, change and service request management.
  • Experience with Identity Governance and Administration platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt or Okta.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident, change and request management.
  • Exposure to SIEM and security monitoring platforms such as Splunk.
  • Understanding of privileged access within AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and security frameworks including: NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, FCA requirements
  • CyberArk, Delinea or BeyondTrust product certification.
  • Experience working within consulting, professional services or managed service environments.
  • Exposure to PAM service transition, operating model design or control maturity programmes.
