Opticore IT is seeking a Palo Alto Engineer for a 6-month contract in London. The role involves hands-on Palo Alto firewall engineering and operational support within a major security project, with one day on-site per week.

The successful candidate will collaborate with an existing Opticore consultant, manage HA Palo Alto deployments, and use SCM to monitor and fine-tune the security environment. IR35 applies and the project spans multiple client environments.

Formación

• Palo Alto Network Firewalls expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Work closely with the Opticore Palo Alto consultant to support delivery of the project.
• Provide hands-on Palo Alto Networks engineering and operational support within the customer environment.
• Manage, troubleshoot and optimise Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including active/active high-availability deployments.
• Use Strata Cloud Manager (SCM) to manage, monitor and administer the Palo Alto security environment.
• Troubleshoot complex firewall, HA, connectivity and performance issues.
• Support firewall policy, security rules, NAT and configuration management.
• Provide technical support for proxy infrastructure and associated security policies.
• Work collaboratively with the customer's network, security and infrastructure teams.
• Assist with firewall upgrades, configuration changes, migrations and maintenance activities.
• Support the migration and transformation of legacy firewall and proxy technologies where required.
• Participate in technical workshops, troubleshooting sessions and project activities.
• Contribute to technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge transfer.
• Act as a trusted technical resource within the customer's security engineering team.

Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced,challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.

Opticore IT are currently searching for a Palo Alto Engineerto join a customer environment supporting a major network security project, this opportunity will work alongside an existing Palo Alto consultant from Opticore. This will be an initial 6 month contract inside IR35 with scope to extend and requires one day onsite per week in Central London.

This opportunity will work alongside an existing Opticore employee, providing hands-on engineering and operational support throughout the project working closely with customer site to solve complex technical challenges they are facing.
