Job description

We are looking for Palliative Care Assistants to join our team.

We have three Palliative Care teams working around Sheffield, providing support to customers in their end of life who have chosen to spend this time in the comfort of their own homes.

Your experience and suitability for the role

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that we have the right person to support our customers. We're looking for people who:

  • Have experience within the care industry
  • Have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Are resilient and can handle difficult situations with compassion and kindness
  • Understand this role is more than just a job

To ensure continuity for our customers, you will be required to work on a 4-week rolling rota basis as follows:

Week 1:

(Palliative Care Team) 7am to 3pm (Monday to Sunday)

Week 2:

Week OFF or you can choose to provide availability to suit you this week, on our domiciliary care services. This can be discussed at interview stage.

Week 3:

(Palliative Care Team) 3pm to 10pm (Monday to Sunday)

Week 4:

Week OFF or you can choose to provide availability to suit you this week, on our domiciliary care services. This can be discussed at interview stage.

  • £12.91 per hour
  • £25.82 per hour
  • 30p mileage allowance
  • The palliative shifts are paid as a shift as opposed to contact time
