Job description

We have a full-time, permanent opening for a Pallex Operations Planner responsible for planning daily Pallex operations to ensure efficient routing and smooth operations. The role involves hands-on work, including loading and unloading Pallex vehicles using a forklift.

Main Responsibilities Include:

1. Planning the most cost-effective and time-efficient routes for pallet deliveries using Pallex software and Churchill Freight operating system.
2. Monitoring delivery scans and expected delivery times, updating progress throughout the day, and reporting daily volumes and revenue to the Transport Manager.
3. Maintaining accurate administration processes such as pricing outbound freight, checking inbound freight, and managing proof of delivery paperwork.
4. Labeling and scanning outbound freight and coordinating with colleagues, customers, and depots.
5. Resolving issues promptly and seeking continuous improvements, including addressing KPI discrepancies.
6. Assisting with the management of the driving team to ensure smooth operations.
7. Liaising with internal and external parties regarding incidents, insurance claims, and accident investigations.
8. Helping to unload trailers and operating a forklift, including loading outbound freight.
