Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a Painting and Decorating Tutor/Trainer (Trainee or Qualified) for a Norfolk centre-based role. The position is full-time and permanent with a salary up to £35,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

The candidate should hold a Level 3 NVQ in Painting and Decorating and be willing to work toward PTLLS/AET teaching qualifications, fully funded by the employer.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 NVQ in Painting and Decorating.
• Willingness to work toward PTLLS/AET teaching qualification; funded by employer.
• Confident delivering training/workshops to groups.
• Solid occupational competency in Painting and Decorating.
• Must be IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working toward a vocational qualification in Painting and Decorating in a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills, knowledge and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold your own Level 3 NVQ in Painting and Decorating.


• Willingness to work toward teaching qualification -PTLLS/AET - fully funded and supported by employer


• Confident and comfortable to deliver training/workshops to groups of learners.


• Must hold solid occupational competency within Painting and Decorating.


• Must be IT Literate.

Duties include:

• Teach/assess learners working towards a vocational qualification in Painting and Decorating within a classroom-based environment.
