Job description

CS Construction Staffing are currently seeking 2 experienced Painters to join a facilities management team working on maintenance projects at Tameside Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for painters with a background in both internal and external work, looking for a steady and rewarding role within a well-established environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out preparation and painting tasks using water and oil-based paints.
  2. Paint internal and external surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  3. Burn off existing paintwork and prepare surfaces by sanding and filling to a smooth finish.
  4. Apply primers, undercoats, and gloss finishes in accordance with specifications.
  5. Complete all relevant documentation accurately and on time.
  6. Work safely and efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  7. Use step ladders, ladders, and scaffolding as required.
  8. Work in confined spaces when necessary.
  9. Maintain a professional approach when interacting with clients and the public.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in painting and decorating, preferably within facilities or maintenance settings.
  2. Ability to work to high standards and meet deadlines.
  3. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  4. Able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Commitment to health and safety practices.

Additional Information:

  1. Contract Duration: 6 months initially with the possibility of extension.
  2. Start Date: ASAP
  3. Pay: £15.00 per hour PAYE + holiday pay
  4. DBS: Standard DBS Check
