Job Title: Painter & Decorator – Social Housing

Location: Crawley (Mobile Role)

Pay Rate: GBP18.05 per hour (Umbrella / CIS)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a leading Social Housing Contractor working on properties in the Crawley area. This is a mobile role carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works across occupied and void social housing properties.

The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake damp and mould repair work, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake painting and decorating tasks in tenanted and void social housing properties.
• Carry out surface preparation, including stripping wallpaper, filling, sanding, and priming surfaces.
• Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as required.
• Perform minor repair work related to damp and mould, ensuring issues are treated and decorated to a satisfactory finish.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and provide excellent customer service to tenants.
• Operate as part of a mobile team using a company van and fuel card provided.
• Complete all tasks in line with health and safety requirements and company procedures.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent).
• Experience working in social housing or domestic occupied properties.
• Knowledge and experience of treating damp and mould issues.
• Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
• Must be able to pass a DBS check if required.
• Reliable, self–motivated, and able to work independently.
