Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator / Tiler to join our busy property maintenance team in Eastleigh. You will carry out painting, decorating and tiling across residential properties, ensuring high workmanship and attention to detail while managing your own workload.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a focus on safety and delivering on timescales.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent time-served experience in Painting & Decorating and/or Tiling.
• Previous experience carrying out painting, decorating and tiling works within residential properties.
• Experience working to deadlines and managing a varied workload.
• Good knowledge of repairs, preparation and finishing techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting, decorating and tiling works across residential properties.
• Treat mould and damp using appropriate products and manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete minor repairs to walls, timber windows, doors, porches, guttering, soffits and fascias.
• Manage daily workloads and attend customer appointments within agreed timescales.
• Maintain excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and the scheduling team.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and equipment.
• Identify and order materials when required, ensuring work is completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Record job progress, timesheets and material usage using a smartphone or tablet.
• Work collaboratively with other trades to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard.
