JOB TITLE: Painter / Decorator

REPORTING TO: On site Lead/ Contract Manager

LOCATION: Amazon Dartford (LCY3) DA1 5PZ

HOURS: 40 hrs per week, Mon- Fri

Salary: £45,000 pa

Role Overview And Purpose

• This position is responsible for carrying out painting and decorating tasks across various areas within the Amazon Fulfilment Centre, as directed by the Contract Manager or client
• The role is offered on a 6-month fixed-term basis, with the potential to become permanent following the initial term
  
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Refresh and maintain the décor throughout the fulfilment centre to enhance the working environment for associates
• Perform preparation tasks such as sanding, filling holes, and relocating furniture (e.g., tables and chairs) to facilitate painting activities
• Carry out painting duties in accordance with ABM's solo working at height policy
• Conduct general repairs including walls, skirting boards, and kickboards, as well as resealing where necessary
• Able to work to a programme of works to minimising disruption to daily operations as well as giving you an uninterrupted area to work in
  
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Proven experience as a painter and decorator with a strong eye for detail
• Skilled in surface preparation, including making good, sanding, and priming prior to painting
• Takes pride in maintaining clean and tidy workspaces throughout the job
• Health and safety conscious, with appropriate use of signage, barriers, and protective sheeting as needed
• Professional and approachable, with a friendly, client-facing demeanor
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping are essential
