Job description

Morgan Hunt currently requires a Painter Building Maintenance Handyperson for NHS based in Middlesex.

Pay Rate: £16ph to 17ph Ltd

Hours: 37.5 hrs, 8am to 4:30pm Mon to Thurs and 8am to 4:00pm Fri

Location: Middlesex

Duration: 12 months ongoing contract

Suitable candidates must have a full clean driving licence; a vehicle will be provided.

Role details:

1. Carry out painting, decorating, tiling, and flooring across various Trust sites.
2. Perform routine and non-routine work activities.
3. Complete new works, repairs, and routine planned maintenance to building fabric, fixtures, and fittings.
4. Handle reactive work requests, minor new installations, and weekly planned preventative maintenance efficiently.
5. Escort contractors during inspections, installations, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• City & Guilds Part II or minimum NVQ Level 2 in painting and decorating or carpentry.
• Recognised apprenticeship in painting and decorating or carpentry.

Experience:

• Experience in painting, decorating, tiling, and flooring.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Experience within the NHS environment is preferable.

Other requirements:

• Own tools & PPE.
• Ability to interact at all levels.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Computer literate.
• Satisfactory attendance with working hours 8:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:00-16:00 Friday.
• Current manual driving license.
