Job summary

Hilton London Croydon is seeking a Painter and Decorator for a part-time role. You will paint surfaces in hotel rooms and public areas, install wall coverings, and maintain tools and supplies to meet high standards.

Qualifications

• Prepare and apply finishes: paint and polish surfaces in hotel rooms and public areas.
• Install and repair wall and ceiling coverings using vinyl, fabric, or foil.
• Maintain tools and equipment and manage painting supplies.
• Carry out maintenance repairs and ensure PPE is worn during repairs.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

• Work part-time hours: This position is offered on a 30-hour-per week contract
• Prepare and apply finishes: Paint and polish surfaces in hotel rooms and public areas to meet required standards and timelines
• Install and repair wall and ceiling coverings: Work with materials like vinyl, fabric, and foil, and maintain caulked, grouted, wooden, and masonry surfaces with stain, varnish, and lacquer
• Maintain tools and equipment: Keep all painting tools, equipment, and work areas in excellent working condition
• Manage painting supplies: Oversee supply inventory and ensure all paints and solvents are stored safely and properly
• Carry out maintenance repair work and ensure the appropriate PPE is worn during all repairs
