We are looking for talented Painters to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Assembly Paint & Trim department at Cummins in Daventry, UK.

Working hours per week on a weekly rotating shift pattern:

Mornings: Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm

Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 3pm - 11pm, Friday 3pm

This role is a temporary contract for up to 24 months with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.

The job involves preparation and finishing of production engines ranging from 38 to 78 liters. Preparing engines for delivery after production testing is complete.

In this role, you will make an impact by:

  • Operating machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity standards safely within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensuring quality standards meet business requirements.
  • Following stage process documentation and accurately documenting quality checks.
  • Reporting any issues during the work stage to supervision.
  • Liaising with supervision on all operational aspects.
  • Being flexible within the Trim department, depending on volume and priorities.
  • Completing all daily checks, including 5S, Hymo, and Crane inspections.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience with paint spraying is advantageous.
  • Experience in assembly or factory work is beneficial.
  • The ability to work independently within established processes.
  • Self-management skills to meet production targets.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience meeting applicable regulations.
  • Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills acquired through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
