Job summary

O'Neill and Brennan in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Painter to join our refurbishment project team. You will perform internal and external painting, using your own brushes and rollers, and maintain a clean, safety-focused work area.

The role requires CSCS card, PPE, and a keen eye for high-quality finishes in a live environment. Immediate start with a supportive site team and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator on commercial sites.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full PPE and own tools/brushes/rollers.
• High attention to detail and ability to produce quality finish work.
• Reliable, punctual, and respectful of working in sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces for painting including sanding, filling, and priming.
• Applying emulsion, gloss, undercoat, and specialist coatings as required.
• Carrying out high-standard finishing work on walls, ceilings, woodwork, and trims.
• Working cleanly and efficiently within a live or semi-live hospital environment.
• Protecting surrounding areas and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Complying with site health and safety procedures, especially in clinical areas.
• Collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Work involves both internal and external painting as part of a refurbishment project. Must have own paint brushes and rollers.
