Salary: £15.50 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours per week: 40 hrs per week - 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
Start & finish times: Monday to Thursday - 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Friday - 7:30 am - 2:00 pm

Key Responsibilites:
- Apply primers, topcoats and specialist protective coatings to metal and composite components in line with technical specifications and work instructions.
- Set up, operate and maintain spray-painting equipment, paint booths and associated production equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, process sheets and customer requirements accurately.
- Carry out visual inspections and quality checks to confirm that finished coatings meet aerospace standards and customer expectations.
- Record completed work accurately and maintain all required production and quality documentation.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances and process issues promptly to supervisors and quality personnel.
- Keep work areas clean, organised and audit-ready, while complying with all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, including PPE and hazardous-substance controls.
- Support continuous-improvement activity across the paint shop and wider production team.
- Mentor and support less-experienced colleagues when required.

Role Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer or Paint Technician in aerospace, defence, automotive or another high-specification manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience applying specialist coatings, primers and finishes to metal and composite components.
- A sound understanding of surface preparation, masking and paint-application processes.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and process documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements for paint application and hazardous materials.
- Clear communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across production, quality, engineering and customer-facing teams.
- A reliable, positive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently while supporting colleagues and changing production priorities.
- Relevant vocational qualifications, apprenticeships or industry certifications are desirable.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in the aerospace and defence industry.
- Experience working to aerospace quality standards and customer-specific requirements, including Airbus painting and coating specifications.
- Experience with Rolls-Royce and Rolls-Royce Control Systems approved processes, specifications and quality standards.
- Knowledge of customer approval and compliance requirements associated with Airbus, Rolls-Royce, RRCS, Boeing, Leonardo, BAE Systems or similar aerospace and defence organisations.
- Familiarity with epoxy primers, polyurethane topcoats, dry-film lubricants and specialist aerospace coatings.
- Experience in AS9100- and NADCAP-accredited manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and right-first-time principles.
- The ability to support audits and customer inspections when required
